My name is Rachel and welcome to my little space on the internet.
I’m a public relations student from rural Ontario, currently studying at Conestoga College. My passions include investigating skincare ingredients, hoarding knit fabric, and applying far to much mascara. I launched this blog on June 23rd, 2014 (then quickly chickened out), and started back up again on August 1st, 2015. Putting yourself out there is scary, but I’m working on it.
I share my little apartment with my boyfriend Wyatt, and our adorable rescue kitty Stella. When I’m not at school, I can usually be found preparing slowcooker meals, scrolling through my bloglovin’ feed, or watching re-runs of Community.
My goal here is to make this a good space. I don’t want to be polished or perfect, so were not going to focus on that. This isn’t going to be a magazine. The Wild Stitch is all about making every day fun, celebrating progress and process over hard-wired successes. I want to share my real life as a maker, like the mess on my sewing table or the mascara that didn’t quite work out the way I wanted it too. Life is messy – so lets embrace it!
I believe that there is a maker in everyone, a part of us that is deeply connected the things that we create ourselves. I want to inspire each one of you to nurture this incredibly important part of your being. Together, I want to set off on journey to celebrate our ability to create things and celebrate living a beautiful life.
I would love for you to join me in this adventure! Get involved with our community by following me on instagram, twitter, and Bloglovin’. I’m looking forward to getting to know you!
